WP Event Manager

Estimated reading: 2 minutes Updated August 1, 2026

Wpeventmanager is a WordPress event management platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Wpeventmanager, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Wpeventmanager account.
  • An API key from Wpeventmanager (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your Wpeventmanager API key

Wpeventmanager authenticates with an API key.

  1. Sign in to your Wpeventmanager account.
  2. Navigate to the API or integrations section in your account settings.
  3. Generate or copy your API Key.
  4. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Wpeventmanager, click Add New Account, and paste the key.

Connect Wpeventmanager to AFI

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Wpeventmanager tab.
  2. Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
  3. Give the account a name you will recognise.
  4. Click Save.

Create the integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New.
  2. Give the integration a name, for example Form to Wpeventmanager.
  3. Under Trigger, pick the form plugin and the specific form you want to listen on.
  4. Under Action → Platform, select Wpeventmanager.
  5. In Task, choose Create Event Listing.
  6. Pick the saved account in the Wpeventmanager Account dropdown.
  7. Map your form fields onto the Wpeventmanager fields listed below.
  8. Optional: open Conditional Logic to limit which submissions are sent.
  9. Click Save Integration.

Tasks supported

Create Event Listing

Creates an event listing from the form submission.

Field Field key Required Notes
Event Title title Yes Required.
Description description No Format: YYYY-MM-DD.
End Date event_end_date No Format: YYYY-MM-DD.

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Wpeventmanager when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Wpeventmanager

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

API key rejected

Copy the key directly from Wpeventmanager with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Wpeventmanager.
