Listmonk

Listmonk is a newsletter management platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Listmonk, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Listmonk account.
  • An API key from Listmonk (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your Listmonk API key

Listmonk authenticates with an API key.

  1. Sign in to your Listmonk account.
  2. Navigate to the API or integrations section in your account settings.
  3. Generate or copy your API Key.
  4. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Listmonk, click Add New Account, and paste the key.

Connect Listmonk to AFI

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Listmonk tab.
  2. Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
  3. Give the account a name you will recognise.
  4. Click Save.

Create the integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New.
  2. Give the integration a name, for example Form to Listmonk.
  3. Under Trigger, pick the form plugin and the specific form you want to listen on.
  4. Under Action → Platform, select Listmonk.
  5. In Task, choose Create / Subscribe Subscriber.
  6. Pick the saved account in the Listmonk Account dropdown.
  7. Map your form fields onto the Listmonk fields listed below.
  8. Optional: open Conditional Logic to limit which submissions are sent.
  9. Click Save Integration.

Tasks supported

Create / Subscribe Subscriber

Adds a contact to a list on the platform.

No additional field mapping required for this task.

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Listmonk when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Listmonk

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

API key rejected

Copy the key directly from Listmonk with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Listmonk.
