Meta Conversions API
Metaconversions is a marketing analytics platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Metaconversions, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.
What you’ll need
- An active Metaconversions account.
- An API key from Metaconversions (see below).
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.
Get your Metaconversions API key
Metaconversions authenticates with an API key.
- Sign in to your Metaconversions account.
- Navigate to the API or integrations section in your account settings.
- Generate or copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Metaconversions, click Add New Account, and paste the key.
Connect Metaconversions to AFI
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Metaconversions tab.
- Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
- Give the account a name you will recognise.
- Click Save.
Create the integration
- Go to AFI → Add New.
- Give the integration a name, for example
Form to Metaconversions. - Under Trigger, pick the form plugin and the specific form you want to listen on.
- Under Action → Platform, select Metaconversions.
- In Task, choose Send Conversion Event.
- Pick the saved account in the Metaconversions Account dropdown.
- Map your form fields onto the Metaconversions fields listed below.
- Optional: open Conditional Logic to limit which submissions are sent.
- Click Save Integration.

Sends an event to the platform from the form submission.

Pro features
The Pro integration extends the free base with additional field mapping, custom field support, and other enhancements. Pro uses the same connection and tasks as the free version, so your existing integrations keep working.

Conditional logic example
Only send data to Metaconversions when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.
Troubleshooting
Nothing arrives in Metaconversions
Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.
API key rejected
Copy the key directly from Metaconversions with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Metaconversions.
