Thinkific is a e-learning platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Thinkific, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Thinkific account.
  • An API key from Thinkific (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your Thinkific API key

Thinkific authenticates with an API key.

  1. Sign in to your Thinkific account.
  2. Navigate to the API or integrations section in your account settings.
  3. Generate or copy your API Key.
  4. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Thinkific, click Add New Account, and paste the key.

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Thinkific tab.
  2. Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
  3. Give the account a name you will recognise.

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Thinkific when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Thinkific

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

API key rejected

Copy the key directly from Thinkific with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Thinkific.
