Tidio is a customer support platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Tidio, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Tidio account.
  • An API token from Tidio (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your Tidio API token

Tidio authenticates with a bearer token.

  1. Sign in to your Tidio account.
  2. Open Settings → API or the developer/integrations section.
  3. Generate or copy your API Token (sometimes called a Personal Access Token).
  4. Paste it in AFI → Settings → Tidio.

Connect Tidio to AFI

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Tidio tab.
  2. Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
  3. Give the account a name you will recognise.
  4. Click Save.

Create the integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New.
  2. Give the integration a name, for example Form to Tidio.
  3. Under Trigger, pick the form plugin and the specific form you want to listen on.
  4. Under Action → Platform, select Tidio.
  5. In Task, choose Create Contact.
  6. Pick the saved account in the Tidio Account dropdown.
  7. Map your form fields onto the Tidio fields listed below.
  8. Optional: open Conditional Logic to limit which submissions are sent.
  9. Click Save Integration.

Tasks supported

Create Contact

Creates a new contact record. The contact appears in your dashboard immediately.

Field Field key Required Notes
Email (required email Yes
Name name Yes
Phone phone No
City city No
Country (ISO-2 country No
Tags (comma-separated tags No
Company (custom property company No
Source (custom property source No

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Tidio when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Tidio

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

API key rejected

Copy the key directly from Tidio with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Tidio.
