Stripe is a payments platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Stripe, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Stripe account.
  • An API token from Stripe (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your Stripe API token

Stripe authenticates with a bearer token.

  1. Sign in to your Stripe account.
  2. Open Settings → API or the developer/integrations section.
  3. Generate or copy your API Token (sometimes called a Personal Access Token).
  4. Paste it in AFI → Settings → Stripe.

Connect Stripe to AFI

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Stripe tab.
  2. Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
  3. Give the account a name you will recognise.
  4. Click Save.

Create the integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New.
  2. Give the integration a name, for example Form to Stripe.
  3. Under Trigger, pick the form plugin and the specific form you want to listen on.
  4. Under Action → Platform, select Stripe.
  5. In Task, choose Create Customer.
  6. Pick the saved account in the Stripe Account dropdown.
  7. Map your form fields onto the Stripe fields listed below.
  8. Optional: open Conditional Logic to limit which submissions are sent.
  9. Click Save Integration.

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Stripe when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Stripe

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

API key rejected

Copy the key directly from Stripe with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Stripe.
