Flamingo is a WordPress spam management platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Flamingo, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Flamingo account.
  • An API key from Flamingo (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your Flamingo API key

Flamingo authenticates with an API key.

  1. Sign in to your Flamingo account.
  2. Navigate to the API or integrations section in your account settings.
  3. Generate or copy your API Key.
  4. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Flamingo, click Add New Account, and paste the key.

Connect Flamingo to AFI

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Flamingo tab.
  2. Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
  3. Give the account a name you will recognise.
  4. Click Save.

Create the integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New.
  2. Give the integration a name, for example Form to Flamingo.
  3. Under Trigger, pick the form plugin and the specific form you want to listen on.
  4. Under Action → Platform, select Flamingo.
  5. In Task, choose Add Contact.
  6. Pick the saved account in the Flamingo Account dropdown.
  7. Map your form fields onto the Flamingo fields listed below.
  8. Optional: open Conditional Logic to limit which submissions are sent.
  9. Click Save Integration.

Tasks supported

Add Contact

Adds a contact to the platform from the form submission.

Field Field key Required Notes
Subject subject Yes Required.
Name name Yes

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Flamingo when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Flamingo

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

API key rejected

Copy the key directly from Flamingo with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Flamingo.
