Crisp is a customer support platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Crisp, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Crisp account.
  • An API key from Crisp (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your Crisp API key

Crisp authenticates with an API key.

  1. Sign in to your Crisp account.
  2. Navigate to the API or integrations section in your account settings.
  3. Generate or copy your API Key.
  4. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Crisp, click Add New Account, and paste the key.

Connect Crisp to AFI

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings and open the Crisp tab.
  2. Click Add New Account and paste the API key or token.
  3. Give the account a name you will recognise.
  4. Click Save.

Create the integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New.
  2. Give the integration a name, for example Form to Crisp.

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Crisp when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Crisp

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

API key rejected

Copy the key directly from Crisp with no leading or trailing spaces. If the key was revoked or regenerated, update it in AFI → Settings → Crisp.
