ExpertSender

Overview

AFI subscribes contacts to lists and fires events in ExpertSender, the marketing-automation platform, from WordPress events. Capture web leads into your ExpertSender database with the right segmentation already applied.

Authentication

  1. Log in to ExpertSender.
  2. Open Settings > API Keys.
  3. Generate a key with the relevant scopes (subscribers:write, events:write).
  4. Note your ExpertSender API host (region-specific: https://api*.expertsender.com).
  5. In AFI go to Settings > ExpertSender and paste the key and API host.

How to create the integration

  1. In WordPress admin, go to AFI > New Integration.
  2. Pick your Sender (Contact Form 7, WPForms, WooCommerce, etc.) and the form / event to listen on.
  3. Pick ExpertSender as the Receiver, then pick the Task you want to run.
  4. Map sender fields onto ExpertSender’s fields. Email is required. Custom fields use ExpertSender’s internal IDs — fetch via the API.
  5. Optional: add Conditional Logic so the action only fires on matching submissions.
  6. Save and run a test submission. Check AFI > Log if anything looks off.

Notes & caveats

  • Region-specific hosts. Wrong host returns auth errors. Confirm with your rep or the ExpertSender admin URL.
  • Event names are matched against pre-defined event types — set them up in ExpertSender first.
  • Double opt-in: configurable per list; if enabled, subscribers receive a confirmation email.
