Sendlane
Overview
AFI subscribes contacts to Sendlane — a behavioural-marketing email and SMS platform — from any WordPress form submission, order, or event. Map fields directly onto Sendlane custom properties and trigger automations from there.
Supported actions
- Subscribe to List
- Add to Automation
- Add Tag
Authentication
- Log in to Sendlane.
- Click Settings > API Keys > Create API Key.
- Copy the API key.
- In AFI go to Settings > Sendlane and paste the key.
How to create the integration
- In WordPress admin, go to AFI > New Integration.
- Pick your Sender (Contact Form 7, WPForms, WooCommerce, etc.) and the form / event to listen on.
- Pick Sendlane as the Receiver, then pick the Task you want to run.
- Map sender fields onto Sendlane’s fields. Email is required.
- Optional: add Conditional Logic so the action only fires on matching submissions.
- Save and run a test submission. Check AFI > Log if anything looks off.
Notes & caveats
- Custom fields must be created in Sendlane before mapping — there’s no auto-create.
- Tag normalisation. Sendlane normalises tag casing —
VIPandvipend up as the same tag. - Double opt-in on a list will require subscribers to confirm before they’re added to the active list.
