Emailchef
Overview
The AFI plugin allows you to automatically subscribe users to your Emailchef mailing lists when they submit a form on your site. This makes it easy to grow your audience and stay connected.

๐ง How To Setup
Step 1: Connect Your Emailchef Account
Before using Emailchef with AFI, you need to save your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
๐ ๏ธ To do this:

Go to AFI โ Settings โ General

Enable Emailchef and click Save Changes

A new tab named Emailchef will appear โ click on it

Enter your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret

Click Save Changes
๐ Where to find these credentials:

Log in to your Emailchef account

Navigate to API / Integrations
-
Copy your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret
Step 2: Create a New Integration

Go to AFI โ Add New
-
Youโll land on the New Integration screen

Give your integration a meaningful name, like โEmailchef Newsletterโ
๐น Trigger

Form Provider: Select your form plugin (e.g., WPForms, Elementor, Ninja Forms)

Form/Task Name: Choose the form you want to connect
Step 3: Configure the Action

Select Emailchef
๐น Task
Choose Subscribe to List
Step 4: Map Fields
Once you select the task, more settings will appear:
๐น Emailchef Account
Select the Emailchef account you saved earlier
๐น List
Choose the Emailchef list where subscribers should be added. Available lists will be loaded automatically.
๐น Fields
Map the fields from your form to Emailchef fields such as:

Email

First Name
-
Last Name
-
Status (optional)
๐ก Note: Only mapped and non-empty values will be sent.
Step 5: Save Integration
Click Save Integration to activate it.
๐ Done! Now, when a user submits your form, their data will be added to the selected Emailchef list.
๐ Troubleshooting
If something isn’t working:

Go to AFI โ Log
-
Find and open the related log entry

Check for issues such as:
-
Invalid credentials (wrong Consumer Key or Secret)
-
List not selected
-
Email field left unmapped or empty
-
API errors returned from Emailchef
