Eventbrite

Estimated reading: 2 minutes Updated August 1, 2026

Eventbrite is a events platform. Advanced Form Integration sends form submissions to Eventbrite, so every form entry on your WordPress site can create or update records automatically without manual data entry.

What you’ll need

  • An active Eventbrite account.
  • A Eventbrite OAuth2 app (see below).
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Create a Eventbrite OAuth2 app

Eventbrite uses OAuth2 for API access. You need to register an app to get a Client ID and Client Secret.

  1. Sign in to the Eventbrite developer portal and create a new OAuth2 application.
  2. Copy the Redirect URI shown in the AFI Eventbrite settings tab and paste it into the app’s allowed redirect URIs.
  3. Note the Client ID and Client Secret.
  4. Paste them in AFI → Settings → Eventbrite and click Save & Authorize. After consent, AFI stores the token and refreshes it automatically.

Create the integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New.
  2. Give the integration a name, for example Form to Eventbrite.
  3. Under Trigger, pick the form plugin and the specific form you want to listen on.
  4. Under Action → Platform, select Eventbrite.
  5. In Task, choose Create Attendee.
  6. Pick the saved account in the Eventbrite Account dropdown.
  7. Map your form fields onto the Eventbrite fields listed below.
  8. Optional: open Conditional Logic to limit which submissions are sent.
  9. Click Save Integration.

Tasks supported

Create Attendee

Create Attendee from the form submission.

Field Field key Required Notes
Event ID (required event_id No
Ticket Class ID (required ticket_class_id No
Email (required email Yes
First Name (required first_name Yes
Last Name (required last_name Yes
Cell Phone cell_phone No
Work Phone work_phone No
Company company No

Conditional logic example

Only send data to Eventbrite when the form’s email field is not empty, so test submissions or incomplete entries do not create records. Add a condition: Email is not empty.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives in Eventbrite

Open AFI → Log and find the most recent entry for this integration. AFI stores the request it sent and the raw response it got back. If there is no log entry at all, the trigger never fired: re-check the form selection and submit a real test entry from the front end.

Connection lost

The OAuth2 token may have expired or been revoked. Return to AFI → Settings → Eventbrite and click Re-authorize to refresh the connection.
