GetResponse is an email marketing and automation platform with 350,000+ users. Advanced Form Integration sends every form submission to GetResponse as a new contact, mapping form fields to standard and custom subscriber properties.

What you’ll need

  • An active GetResponse account.
  • A GetResponse API key (v3).
  • At least one campaign (list) configured.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin installed and activated.

Get your GetResponse API key

  1. Log in to GetResponse.
  2. Click your avatar (top right) → Integrations and API.
  3. Open the API tab.
  4. Click Generate API key, name it (e.g. Advanced Form Integration), and click Generate.
  5. Copy the key.

Connect GetResponse to AFI

  1. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → GetResponse.
  2. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Conditional logic example

Goal: route enterprise demos to a sales-team campaign, smaller leads to the standard nurture campaign.

Create two integrations on the same form, each pointing at a different GetResponse campaign. Add the matching Equal To condition on each.

Troubleshooting

Contact not added

Common GetResponse errors:

  • Invalid API key: re-copy from GetResponse Integrations & API page.
  • Email already on the list: GetResponse blocks duplicates by default. Use the Update Contact task instead.
  • Custom field not found: re-pick the campaign to refresh the field list.
