Overview

The AFI plugin allows you to connect your WordPress forms with Rapidmail, enabling automatic subscription of users to your Rapidmail recipient lists. Whenever someone fills out a form on your site, the data is sent directly to your selected Rapidmail list.

This is perfect for newsletter signups, lead generation, and email marketing automation.

🔧 How To Setup

Step 1: Connect Your Rapidmail Account

Before you can create an integration, you need to add your Rapidmail API credentials.

  1. Go to AFI → Settings → General

  2. Enable Rapidmail from the platform list and click Save Changes

  3. A new Rapidmail tab will appear at the top — click on it

  4. Enter your Username and Password

📌 How to Get Your API Credentials:

  • Log into your Rapidmail account

  • Go to Profile → API

  • Create a new API user

  • Copy the Username and Password

  • Paste them into the plugin settings and click Save Changes

Step 2: Create New Integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New

  2. You’ll land on the New Integration setup screen

🔹 Title

Give your integration a meaningful name (e.g., “Newsletter Signup – Rapidmail”)

🔹 Trigger

  • Form Provider: Choose your form plugin (e.g., WPForms, Gravity Forms, Elementor)

  • Form/Task Name: Select the form you want to connect

Step 3: Configure the Action

  • Platform: Select Rapidmail

  • Task: Choose Subscribe to List

This task will subscribe the user to your selected Rapidmail recipient list upon form submission.

Step 4: Map Fields

Once the task is selected, you’ll be able to configure the following options:

🔹 Rapidmail Account

Select the account you saved earlier

🔹 Recipient List

Choose the target list where new contacts will be added

The plugin will fetch available lists using the selected credentials.

🔹 Subscriber Fields

Map the form fields to Rapidmail fields:

  • Email (required)

  • First Name (optional)

  • Last Name (optional)

  • Any other available custom fields

Each left-hand field is from Rapidmail; map them to your form fields using the dropdowns on the right.

Step 5: Save Integration

Click Save Integration at the bottom.

🎉 You’re done! From now on, form submissions will automatically subscribe users to your selected Rapidmail list.

🔍 Troubleshooting

If the integration isn’t working:

  1. Go to AFI → Log

  2. Check the logs for your Rapidmail requests

Ensure:

  • The correct Username and Password were used

  • The selected list exists

  • Required fields like Email were mapped and filled

  • No API error was returned
