Overview

The AFI plugin allows you to connect your WordPress forms to BombBomb, enabling automatic addition of contacts to your BombBomb account when someone submits a form.

Perfect for video email marketing, contact nurturing, and automating lead generation.

🔧 How To Setup

Step 1: Connect Your BombBomb Account

BombBomb uses OAuth2 authorization, so you’ll need your Client ID and Client Secret from your BombBomb developer account.

  1. Go to AFI → Settings → General

  2. Enable BombBomb and click Save Changes

  3. A new BombBomb tab will appear — click on it

  4. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret

  5. Click the Authorize button to complete the connection

📌 How to Get Client ID and Secret:

  • Log into your BombBomb Developer Portal

  • Create or manage an existing API application

  • Copy the Client ID and Client Secret

  • Use the given Redirect URI from AFI settings

  • Paste credentials in the plugin and click Authorize

Once authorized, AFI will securely store your access credentials.

Step 2: Create New Integration

  1. Go to AFI → Add New

  2. You’ll land on the New Integration setup screen

🔹 Title

Give your integration a name like: “Form to BombBomb”

🔹 Trigger

  • Form Provider: Choose your form plugin (e.g., WPForms, Elementor, Contact Form 7)

  • Form/Task Name: Choose the specific form to connect

Step 3: Configure the Action

🔹 Platform

Select BombBomb

🔹 Task

Choose Add Contact

This task creates a new contact in BombBomb upon each form submission.

Step 4: Map Fields

Once the task is selected, you’ll see the available options and fields:

🔹 List

Select the BombBomb List to which the contact should be added. The plugin fetches your available lists automatically.

🔹 Contact Fields

Map your form fields to BombBomb fields such as:

  • Email (required)

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Phone Number

  • Business Name

  • Position

  • Comments

  • Address Line 1 & 2

  • City, State, Country, Postal Code

AFI sends these values in BombBomb’s supported format to ensure smooth record creation.

Step 5: Save Integration

Click Save Integration at the bottom of the screen.

🎉 That’s it! Now, whenever someone submits the form, their information will be automatically added as a contact to your selected BombBomb list.

🔍 Troubleshooting

If the integration isn’t working as expected:

  1. Go to AFI → Log

  2. Check the log for the BombBomb request and response

Common things to check:

  • You have successfully authorized BombBomb in settings

  • List ID is selected in the integration

  • Email field is mapped and filled

  • Your API token hasn’t expired (AFI handles auto-refresh)

  • BombBomb’s API doesn’t return an error
