How to integrate Contact Form 7 to Omnisend Easily

Overview

Advanced Form Integration plugin allows you to integrate Contact Form 7 to Omnisend. When a user fills a form on your website, the plugin will send the data to your Omnisend account and create a contact in the preferred list. You can also add custom merge fields and tags.

Supported Features

• Free : Create a new contact with all basic (First Name, Last Name, Email).
• Pro: Create a new contact with all basic (First Name, Last Name, Email). Additionally supports merged custom fields. It also allows adding the contact to preferred contact list and add tags.

Requirements

• Make sure that the Advanced Form Integration plugin is installed and activated.
• The feature is supported under the free license so no payment is needed. Enjoy!
• Read plugin documentation for Contact Form 7 and Omnisend. It is not required but helpful for better understanding.

Obtaining Omnisend API Key

Before start, you are required to save the API Key in plugin settings.

1. Log in to your Omnisend account.
2. Go to Store Settings>Integration & API>Create API Key
3. Copy API Key.
4. Now go to AFI > Settings >Omnisend and paste the key.
5. Click Save Changes.

Create New Integration

Once API keys are saved you can start creating new integration. Click on Add New under AFI menu, New Integration page will appear.

Title

A default title will be auto-generated with an auto incremental number. You can rename it to something related to the task. It will help you to quickly recognize the correct one when there is multiple integrations setup.

Trigger

Select Contact Form 7 in Form Provider dropdown. Contact Form 7 plugin must be installed and activated otherwise you won’t see it listed. After selecting Contact Form 7, all forms built under Contact Form 7 will be fetched and auto-populated in the Form/Task Name dropdown. Select the form that you want to integrate.

Action

Select Omnisend in Platform dropdown.

Select Omnisend [PRO] in Platform dropdown.

Map Fields

Map Fields section will appear where you’ll be able to determine which fields to send.Map Email, First Name, Last Name etc. fields with their similar field in sender platform. Finally, click the Save Integration button.
