How to Send weForms Data to Marketo

Marketo is a marketing automation platform. weForms handles a form is submitted on your WordPress site. Marketo is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

Why not just use Zapier?

What you will need

• A WordPress site with weForms installed and configured.
• A Marketo account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Marketo to AFI

1. Log in to your Marketo instance.
2. Go to Admin → Integration → REST API and create a Launchpoint service.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Marketo.
4. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Munchkin ID, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it weForms to Marketo.

2. Pick your trigger

Select weForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Marketo as the destination

Choose Marketo from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates or updates a lead in Marketo.

4. Map fields

Match each Marketo field on the left to the corresponding weForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in weForms. Check Marketo to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
