How to Send weForms Data to Filevine

Filevine is a legal practice management platform. Every weForms submission record should flow into Filevine automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

Connect Filevine to AFI

Filevine uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Filevine, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it weForms to Filevine.

2. Pick your trigger

Select weForms as the form provider. AFI fires when a form is submitted, giving you access to submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields.

3. Select Filevine as the destination

Choose Filevine from the platform dropdown and pick Add Project. This creates a project in Filevine.

4. Map fields

Match each Filevine field on the left to the corresponding weForms field on the right. Common mappings include submitter name, email, phone, and any custom form fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in weForms. Check Filevine to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
