How to Send The Events Calendar Data to Planning Center

Connect Planning Center to AFI

Planning Center uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Planning Center, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it The Events Calendar to Planning Center.

2. Pick your trigger

Select The Events Calendar as the form provider. AFI fires when an event RSVP or ticket order is submitted, giving you access to attendee name, email, event title, event date, ticket type, and order total.

3. Select Planning Center as the destination

Choose Planning Center from the platform dropdown and pick Add Person. This creates a person in Planning Center.

4. Map fields

Match each Planning Center field on the left to the corresponding The Events Calendar field on the right. Common mappings include attendee name, email, event title, event date, ticket type, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in The Events Calendar. Check Planning Center to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
