How to Send LearnDash Enrollments to DocuSign

DocuSign is a document signing platform. LearnDash manages a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to DocuSign.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with LearnDash installed and at least one course.
• A DocuSign account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect DocuSign to AFI

DocuSign uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → DocuSign, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LearnDash to DocuSign.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LearnDash as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select DocuSign as the destination

Choose DocuSign from the platform dropdown and pick Send Envelope. This creates and sends an envelope in DocuSign.

4. Map fields

Match each DocuSign field on the left to the corresponding LearnDash field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LearnDash. Check DocuSign to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
