Discord is a messaging platform. Enrollment events can trigger instant notifications. Every LearnDash enrollment should flow into Discord automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

Skip the automation middleman

Rather than routing data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to messaging. No task meter, no monthly bill.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with LearnDash installed and at least one course.
  • A Discord account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Discord to AFI

Discord uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Discord, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LearnDash to Discord.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LearnDash as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Discord as the destination

Choose Discord from the platform dropdown and pick Send Message. This sends a message to a Discord channel.

4. Map fields

Match each Discord field on the left to the corresponding LearnDash field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LearnDash. Check Discord to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps message text to Discord with unlimited enrollments. Pro adds channel selection and embed options. No per-enrollment fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which LearnDash events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or completes a lesson. This covers new enrollments, course completions, and student registrations.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the enrollment event completes. Your students are not affected.

Can I send enrollments to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every enrollment flows to all of them simultaneously.
