How to Send FormCraft Submissions to Telegram

Telegram is a messaging platform. Form submissions can trigger instant notifications. FormCraft is a versatile drag-and-drop form builder for WordPress. Telegram is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

Why connect directly?

What you will need

• A WordPress site with FormCraft installed and at least one form.
• A Telegram account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Telegram to AFI

1. Create a Telegram Bot via BotFather and copy the bot token.
2. Start a chat with your bot and get the chat ID.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Telegram.
4. Enter the bot token and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it FormCraft to Telegram.

2. Pick your trigger

Select FormCraft as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Telegram as the destination

Choose Telegram from the platform dropdown and pick Send Message. This sends a message to a Telegram chat via bot.

4. Map fields

Match each Telegram field on the left to the corresponding FormCraft field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your FormCraft form and submit. Check Telegram to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
