How to Send Fluent Affiliate Data to Marketo

Marketo is a marketing automation platform. Fluent Affiliate tracks an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Marketo.

What you will need

Connect Marketo to AFI

1. Log in to your Marketo instance.
2. Go to Admin → Integration → REST API and create a Launchpoint service.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Marketo.
4. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Munchkin ID, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Fluent Affiliate to Marketo.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Fluent Affiliate as the form provider. AFI fires when an affiliate registers or a referral is generated, giving you access to affiliate details, referral amounts, and commission data.

3. Select Marketo as the destination

Choose Marketo from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates or updates a lead in Marketo.

4. Map fields

Match each Marketo field on the left to the corresponding Fluent Affiliate field on the right. Common mappings include affiliate name, email, referral ID, commission amount, and status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain referrals? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Fluent Affiliate. Check Marketo to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
