How to Send Easy Digital Downloads Orders to Klaviyo
Klaviyo is a platform platform. Getting Easy Digital Downloads order data into Klaviyo does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.
Skip the automation middleman
Rather than routing order data through a third-party cloud, AFI sends it directly from your WordPress server to platform. No task meter, no monthly bill.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Easy Digital Downloads installed and configured.
- A Klaviyo account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Klaviyo to AFI
Klaviyo uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Klaviyo, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Easy Digital Downloads to Klaviyo.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Easy Digital Downloads as the form provider. AFI fires when a purchase is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, payment data, and download links.
3. Select Klaviyo as the destination
Choose Klaviyo from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in Klaviyo.
4. Map fields
Match each Klaviyo field on the left to the corresponding Easy Digital Downloads field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain purchases? Set up a conditional rule. For example, only sync completed payments or specific products.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Place a test purchase in your Easy Digital Downloads store. Check Klaviyo to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name and email to Klaviyo with unlimited orders. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-order fees on any plan.
