How to Send BuddyBoss Data to Zoho CRM
Zoho CRM is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Every BuddyBoss a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group should flow into Zoho CRM automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.
The direct approach
AFI delivers member and activity data straight from WordPress to Zoho CRM. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
- A Zoho CRM account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Zoho CRM to AFI
Zoho CRM uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Zoho CRM, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Zoho CRM.
2. Pick your trigger
Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.
3. Select Zoho CRM as the destination
Choose Zoho CRM from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates a lead in Zoho CRM.
4. Map fields
Match each Zoho CRM field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Zoho CRM to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name, email, and phone to Zoho CRM with unlimited events. Pro adds custom field mapping and lead assignment. No per-event fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which BuddyBoss events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.
Can I send member data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
