Aweber is a platform platform. Getting BuddyBoss data into Aweber does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

The direct approach

AFI delivers member and activity data straight from WordPress to Aweber. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with BuddyBoss installed and configured.
  • A Aweber account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Aweber to AFI

Aweber uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Aweber, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it BuddyBoss to Aweber.

2. Pick your trigger

Select BuddyBoss as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group, giving you access to member details, profile fields, and activity data.

3. Select Aweber as the destination

Choose Aweber from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in Aweber.

4. Map fields

Match each Aweber field on the left to the corresponding BuddyBoss field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, profile data, and activity type. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain activities? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group in BuddyBoss. Check Aweber to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name and email to Aweber with unlimited events. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-event fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which BuddyBoss events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a member registers, updates their profile, or joins a group. This covers member registrations, profile updates, and group joins.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the community event completes. Your members are not affected.

Can I send member data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every event flows to all of them simultaneously.
