How to Send WPForms Submissions to Vertical Response

Vertical Response is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. If you want WPForms submissions in Vertical Response, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

Connect Vertical Response to AFI

1. Log in to your Vertical Response account.
2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Vertical Response.
4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WPForms to Vertical Response.

2. Pick your trigger

Select WPForms as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Vertical Response as the destination

Choose Vertical Response from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to a Vertical Response list.

4. Map fields

Match each Vertical Response field on the left to the corresponding WPForms field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your WPForms form and submit. Check Vertical Response to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
