How to Send WP User Frontend Data to Zoho People
Zoho People is a HR platform. WP User Frontend manages a post is submitted or a form is completed, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Zoho People.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting WP User Frontend to HR, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with WP User Frontend installed and configured.
- A Zoho People account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Zoho People to AFI
Zoho People uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Zoho People, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WP User Frontend to Zoho People.
2. Pick your trigger
Select WP User Frontend as the form provider. AFI fires when a post is submitted or a form is completed, giving you access to author name, email, post title, post content, and custom field values.
3. Select Zoho People as the destination
Choose Zoho People from the platform dropdown and pick Add Employee. This creates an employee record in Zoho People.
4. Map fields
Match each Zoho People field on the left to the corresponding WP User Frontend field on the right. Common mappings include author name, email, post title, post content, and custom field values. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in WP User Frontend. Check Zoho People to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps name, email, and phone to Zoho People with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which WP User Frontend events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a post is submitted or a form is completed. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
