Sendy is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Here is how to pipe WP User Frontend submission straight into Sendy using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.

The direct approach

AFI delivers submission data straight from WordPress to Sendy. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with WP User Frontend installed and configured.
  • A Sendy account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Sendy to AFI

  1. Log in to your Sendy installation.
  2. Copy your API Key from the settings.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Sendy.
  4. Enter your Sendy URL and API Key, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WP User Frontend to Sendy.

2. Pick your trigger

Select WP User Frontend as the form provider. AFI fires when a post is submitted or a form is completed, giving you access to author name, email, post title, post content, and custom field values.

3. Select Sendy as the destination

Choose Sendy from the platform dropdown and pick Subscribe To List. This subscribes a contact to a Sendy list.

4. Map fields

Match each Sendy field on the left to the corresponding WP User Frontend field on the right. Common mappings include author name, email, post title, post content, and custom field values. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in WP User Frontend. Check Sendy to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email and name to Sendy with unlimited records. Pro adds custom fields, GDPR flag, and silent opt-in. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which WP User Frontend events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a post is submitted or a form is completed. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
