Benchmark Email is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. WP User Frontend manages a post is submitted or a form is completed, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Benchmark Email.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting WP User Frontend to email marketing, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with WP User Frontend installed and configured.
  • A Benchmark Email account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Benchmark Email to AFI

  1. Log in to your Benchmark Email account.
  2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Benchmark.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WP User Frontend to Benchmark Email.

2. Pick your trigger

Select WP User Frontend as the form provider. AFI fires when a post is submitted or a form is completed, giving you access to author name, email, post title, post content, and custom field values.

3. Select Benchmark Email as the destination

Choose Benchmark Email from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to a Benchmark list.

4. Map fields

Match each Benchmark Email field on the left to the corresponding WP User Frontend field on the right. Common mappings include author name, email, post title, post content, and custom field values. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in WP User Frontend. Check Benchmark Email to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email and name to Benchmark Email with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which WP User Frontend events trigger the integration?

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Can I send data to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
