How to Send WP Job Manager Data to SendGrid

SendGrid is a email delivery platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. WP Job Manager handles a job listing is submitted on your WordPress site. SendGrid is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

Connect SendGrid to AFI

  1. Log in to your SendGrid account.
  2. Go to Settings → API Keys and create a key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → SendGrid.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WP Job Manager to SendGrid.

2. Pick your trigger

Select WP Job Manager as the form provider. AFI fires when a job listing is submitted, giving you access to company name, job title, email, location, job type, and application URL.

3. Select SendGrid as the destination

Choose SendGrid from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This adds a contact to a SendGrid list.

4. Map fields

Match each SendGrid field on the left to the corresponding WP Job Manager field on the right. Common mappings include company name, job title, email, location, job type, and application URL. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in WP Job Manager. Check SendGrid to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
