How to Send WooCommerce Orders to FreeAgent

FreeAgent is an accounting platform for managing finances. WooCommerce powers millions of online stores. FreeAgent is where your customer and order data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.

What you will need

Connect FreeAgent to AFI

FreeAgent uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → FreeAgent, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it WooCommerce to FreeAgent.

2. Pick your trigger

Select WooCommerce as the form provider. AFI fires when an order status changes, giving you access to customer details, billing and shipping addresses, line items, totals, and payment method.

3. Select FreeAgent as the destination

Choose FreeAgent from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in FreeAgent.

4. Map fields

Match each FreeAgent field on the left to the corresponding WooCommerce order field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, phone, billing address, order total, and product details. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule. For example, only sync orders above a specific total, or only completed orders.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your WooCommerce store. Check FreeAgent to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
