How to Send Ultimate Member Data to Planning Center

Planning Center is a church management platform. Ultimate Member manages a user registers or updates their profile, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Planning Center.

Connect Planning Center to AFI

Planning Center uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Planning Center, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ultimate Member to Planning Center.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Ultimate Member as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile, giving you access to user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields.

3. Select Planning Center as the destination

Choose Planning Center from the platform dropdown and pick Add Person. This creates a person in Planning Center.

4. Map fields

Match each Planning Center field on the left to the corresponding Ultimate Member field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Ultimate Member. Check Planning Center to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
