How to Send Ultimate Member Data to Mailchimp

Connect Mailchimp to AFI

Mailchimp uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Mailchimp, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ultimate Member to Mailchimp.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Ultimate Member as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile, giving you access to user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields.

3. Select Mailchimp as the destination

Choose Mailchimp from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in Mailchimp.

4. Map fields

Match each Mailchimp field on the left to the corresponding Ultimate Member field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Ultimate Member. Check Mailchimp to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
