How to Send Ultimate Member Data to Iterable
Iterable is a marketing automation platform. Ultimate Member handles a user registers or updates their profile on your WordPress site. Iterable is where that data needs to go. Here is how to connect them without Zapier or code.
Why connect directly?
Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-registration fees, no external dependencies.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Ultimate Member installed and configured.
- A Iterable account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Iterable to AFI
- Log in to your Iterable account.
- Go to Settings → API Keys and copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Iterable.
- Enter the API Key and data center, then click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ultimate Member to Iterable.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Ultimate Member as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile, giving you access to user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields.
3. Select Iterable as the destination
Choose Iterable from the platform dropdown and pick Add User. This creates or updates a user in Iterable.
4. Map fields
Match each Iterable field on the left to the corresponding Ultimate Member field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Ultimate Member. Check Iterable to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email and name to Iterable with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and data fields. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Ultimate Member events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
