How to Send Ultimate Member Data to Asana

Asana is a project management tool for organizing work and collaborating. If you want Ultimate Member registration synced to Asana, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

Connect Asana to AFI

Asana uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Asana, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ultimate Member to Asana.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Ultimate Member as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or updates their profile, giving you access to user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields.

3. Select Asana as the destination

Choose Asana from the platform dropdown and pick Create Task. This creates a task in Asana.

4. Map fields

Match each Asana field on the left to the corresponding Ultimate Member field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, account type, and custom profile fields. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Ultimate Member. Check Asana to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
