Gist is a CRM and live chat that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Getting SureCart order data into Gist does not require external tools. Advanced Form Integration handles it natively, and this guide covers every step.

The direct approach

AFI delivers order data straight from WordPress to Gist. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with SureCart installed and configured.
  • A Gist account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Gist to AFI

  1. Log in to your Gist account.
  2. Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Gist.
  4. Paste the API Key and click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it SureCart to Gist.

2. Pick your trigger

Select SureCart as the form provider. AFI fires when a checkout or order is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.

3. Select Gist as the destination

Choose Gist from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Gist.

4. Map fields

Match each Gist field on the left to the corresponding SureCart field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your SureCart store. Check Gist to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps email, name, and phone to Gist with unlimited orders. Pro adds custom field mapping and tags. No per-order fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which SureCart events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a checkout or order is completed. This covers new orders, customer details, and product information.

Will adding this slow down my checkout?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the order is processed. Your customers complete checkout normally without any delay.

Can I send orders to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every order flows to all of them simultaneously.
