How to Send SureCart Orders to Customer.io

Customer.io is a marketing automation platform. SureCart processes a checkout or order is completed beautifully, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Customer.io.

Connect Customer.io to AFI

1. Log in to your Customer.io account.
2. Go to Settings → API Credentials and copy your Site ID and API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Customer.io.
4. Enter the Site ID and API Key, then click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it SureCart to Customer.io.

2. Pick your trigger

Select SureCart as the form provider. AFI fires when a checkout or order is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.

3. Select Customer.io as the destination

Choose Customer.io from the platform dropdown and pick Add Customer. This creates or updates a customer in Customer.io.

4. Map fields

Match each Customer.io field on the left to the corresponding SureCart field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your SureCart store. Check Customer.io to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
