Asana is a project management tool for organizing work and collaborating. If you want SureCart orders synced to Asana, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting project management, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with SureCart installed and configured.
  • A Asana account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Asana to AFI

Asana uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Asana, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it SureCart to Asana.

2. Pick your trigger

Select SureCart as the form provider. AFI fires when a checkout or order is completed, giving you access to customer details, product information, and order totals.

3. Select Asana as the destination

Choose Asana from the platform dropdown and pick Create Task. This creates a task in Asana.

4. Map fields

Match each Asana field on the left to the corresponding SureCart field on the right. Common mappings include customer name, email, product details, and order total. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain orders? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Place a test order in your SureCart store. Check Asana to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps name, notes, and assignee to Asana with unlimited orders. Pro adds custom field mapping and project selection. No per-order fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which SureCart events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a checkout or order is completed. This covers new orders, customer details, and product information.

Will adding this slow down my checkout?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the order is processed. Your customers complete checkout normally without any delay.

Can I send orders to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every order flows to all of them simultaneously.

Install Advanced Form Integration free from WordPress.org and connect SureCart to Asana in minutes.
