Knack is a database platform. If you want Restrict Content Pro membership synced to Knack, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

Why not just use Zapier?

For connecting Restrict Content Pro to database, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with Restrict Content Pro installed and configured.
  • A Knack account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Knack to AFI

  1. Log in to your Knack account.
  2. Copy your App ID and API Key.
  3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Knack.
  4. Enter the credentials and click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Restrict Content Pro to Knack.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Restrict Content Pro as the form provider. AFI fires when a member signs up or a payment completes, giving you access to member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and subscription status.

3. Select Knack as the destination

Choose Knack from the platform dropdown and pick Add Record. This creates a record in a Knack app.

4. Map fields

Match each Knack field on the left to the corresponding Restrict Content Pro field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and subscription status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Restrict Content Pro. Check Knack to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps standard app fields to Knack with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping. No per-record fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which Restrict Content Pro events trigger the integration?

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
