How to Send RegistrationMagic Data to Telegram
Telegram is a messaging platform. Events can trigger instant notifications. Here is how to pipe RegistrationMagic registration straight into Telegram using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.
The direct approach
AFI delivers registration data straight from WordPress to Telegram. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with RegistrationMagic installed and configured.
- A Telegram account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Telegram to AFI
- Create a Telegram Bot via BotFather and copy the bot token.
- Start a chat with your bot and get the chat ID.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Telegram.
- Enter the bot token and click Save Changes.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it RegistrationMagic to Telegram.
2. Pick your trigger
Select RegistrationMagic as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or submits a form, giving you access to user name, email, username, custom registration fields, and form ID.
3. Select Telegram as the destination
Choose Telegram from the platform dropdown and pick Send Message. This sends a message to a Telegram chat via bot.
4. Map fields
Match each Telegram field on the left to the corresponding RegistrationMagic field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, custom registration fields, and form ID. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in RegistrationMagic. Check Telegram to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps message text to Telegram with unlimited records. Pro adds chat ID and parse mode. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which RegistrationMagic events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a user registers or submits a form. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
