How to Send RegistrationMagic Data to Customer.io

Connect Customer.io to AFI

1. Log in to your Customer.io account.
2. Go to Settings → API Credentials and copy your Site ID and API Key.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Customer.io.
4. Enter the Site ID and API Key, then click Save Changes.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it RegistrationMagic to Customer.io.

2. Pick your trigger

Select RegistrationMagic as the form provider. AFI fires when a user registers or submits a form, giving you access to user name, email, username, custom registration fields, and form ID.

3. Select Customer.io as the destination

Choose Customer.io from the platform dropdown and pick Add Customer. This creates or updates a customer in Customer.io.

4. Map fields

Match each Customer.io field on the left to the corresponding RegistrationMagic field on the right. Common mappings include user name, email, username, custom registration fields, and form ID. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in RegistrationMagic. Check Customer.io to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
