How to Send Quill Forms Data to ConvertKit
ConvertKit is a email marketing platform for managing subscribers and campaigns. Here is how to pipe Quill Forms submission straight into ConvertKit using Advanced Form Integration. The setup takes about five minutes and runs entirely on your own server.
The direct approach
AFI delivers submission data straight from WordPress to ConvertKit. No third-party cloud, no per-task fees, and every request is logged for troubleshooting.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Quill Forms installed and configured.
- A ConvertKit account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect ConvertKit to AFI
- Log in to your ConvertKit account.
- Go to Settings → API and copy your API Key and Secret.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → ConvertKit.
- Enter the API Key and Secret, then click Save.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Quill Forms to ConvertKit.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Quill Forms as the form provider. AFI fires when a conversational form is completed, giving you access to respondent name, email, phone, and any custom form answers.
3. Select ConvertKit as the destination
Choose ConvertKit from the platform dropdown and pick Add Subscriber. This adds a subscriber to ConvertKit.
4. Map fields
Match each ConvertKit field on the left to the corresponding Quill Forms field on the right. Common mappings include respondent name, email, phone, and any custom form answers. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Quill Forms. Check ConvertKit to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps email, first name, and last name to ConvertKit with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and tag assignment. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Quill Forms events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a conversational form is completed. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
