How to Send Paid Memberships Pro Data to Todoist
Todoist is a task management platform. If you want Paid Memberships Pro membership synced to Todoist, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting Paid Memberships Pro to task management, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with Paid Memberships Pro installed and configured.
- A Todoist account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Todoist to AFI
Todoist uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Todoist, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Paid Memberships Pro to Todoist.
2. Pick your trigger
Select Paid Memberships Pro as the form provider. AFI fires when a member checks out or a membership level changes, giving you access to member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and order ID.
3. Select Todoist as the destination
Choose Todoist from the platform dropdown and pick Create Task. This creates a task in Todoist.
4. Map fields
Match each Todoist field on the left to the corresponding Paid Memberships Pro field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, membership level, payment amount, and order ID. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in Paid Memberships Pro. Check Todoist to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps title and description to Todoist with unlimited records. Pro adds project selection. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which Paid Memberships Pro events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a member checks out or a membership level changes. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
