How to Send Ninja Forms Submissions to Clio

Clio is a legal practice management platform. Every Ninja Forms submission should flow into Clio without manual effort. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

Skip the automation middleman

What you will need

• A WordPress site with Ninja Forms installed and at least one form.
• A Clio account.
• The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Clio to AFI

Clio uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Clio, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it Ninja Forms to Clio.

2. Pick your trigger

Select Ninja Forms as the form provider and choose the form you want to connect. AFI detects the fields automatically.

3. Select Clio as the destination

Choose Clio from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in Clio.

4. Map fields

Match each Clio field on the left to the corresponding Ninja Forms field on the right. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}} and {{utm_source}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain submissions? Set up a conditional rule based on any form field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Fill out your Ninja form and submit. Check Clio to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
