How to Send MemberPress Data to Freshdesk
Freshdesk is a helpdesk platform. If you want MemberPress membership synced to Freshdesk, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.
Why not just use Zapier?
For connecting MemberPress to helpdesk, a cloud automation service adds cost and a dependency on an external server. AFI runs on your site with no task limits.
What you will need
- A WordPress site with MemberPress installed and configured.
- A Freshdesk account.
- The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).
Connect Freshdesk to AFI
- Log in to your Freshdesk account.
- Go to Profile → API and copy your API Key.
- In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Freshdesk.
- Enter your domain and API Key, then click Save Changes.
Setting up the integration
1. Create a new integration
Go to AFI → Add New. Name it MemberPress to Freshdesk.
2. Pick your trigger
Select MemberPress as the form provider. AFI fires when a member registers or a subscription transaction completes, giving you access to member name, email, membership level, transaction amount, and subscription status.
3. Select Freshdesk as the destination
Choose Freshdesk from the platform dropdown and pick Create Ticket. This creates a support ticket in Freshdesk.
4. Map fields
Match each Freshdesk field on the left to the corresponding MemberPress field on the right. Common mappings include member name, email, membership level, transaction amount, and subscription status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.
5. Add conditions if needed
Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.
6. Save and test
Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in MemberPress. Check Freshdesk to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
Free vs Pro
The free version maps subject, description, email, and name to Freshdesk with unlimited records. Pro adds custom field mapping and priority settings. No per-record fees on any plan.
Frequently asked questions
Which MemberPress events trigger the integration?
AFI fires when a member registers or a subscription transaction completes. This covers new submissions and relevant status changes.
Will adding this slow down my site?
No. AFI sends data to the destination after the event completes. Your site performance is not affected.
Can I send data to multiple platforms?
Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every record flows to all of them simultaneously.
