How to Send MailPoet Data to Todoist

Todoist is a task management platform. If you want MailPoet subscriber synced to Todoist, you could pay for a cloud automation service. Or you could do it directly from WordPress. This is the direct route.

What you will need

Connect Todoist to AFI

Todoist uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Todoist, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it MailPoet to Todoist.

2. Pick your trigger

Select MailPoet as the form provider. AFI fires when a subscriber joins a list or a newsletter form is submitted, giving you access to subscriber name, email, list ID, and subscription status.

3. Select Todoist as the destination

Choose Todoist from the platform dropdown and pick Create Task. This creates a task in Todoist.

4. Map fields

Match each Todoist field on the left to the corresponding MailPoet field on the right. Common mappings include subscriber name, email, list ID, and subscription status. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain records? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Trigger a test event in MailPoet. Check Todoist to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
