How to Send LifterLMS Enrollments to Marketo

Marketo is a marketing automation platform. LifterLMS manages a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Marketo.

What you will need

• A WordPress site with LifterLMS installed and at least one course.

Connect Marketo to AFI

1. Log in to your Marketo instance.
2. Go to Admin → Integration → REST API and create a Launchpoint service.
3. In WordPress, go to AFI → Settings → Marketo.
4. Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Munchkin ID, then click Save.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LifterLMS to Marketo.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LifterLMS as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Marketo as the destination

Choose Marketo from the platform dropdown and pick Add Lead. This creates or updates a lead in Marketo.

4. Map fields

Match each Marketo field on the left to the corresponding LifterLMS field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LifterLMS. Check Marketo to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
