Dropbox is a file storage platform. LifterLMS manages a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, but sending that data to external platforms needs an integration. AFI bridges that gap to Dropbox.

Why connect directly?

Cloud automation tools like Zapier charge per task and route your data through external servers. AFI processes everything on your WordPress site. No per-enrollment fees, no external dependencies.

What you will need

  • A WordPress site with LifterLMS installed and at least one course.
  • A Dropbox account.
  • The Advanced Form Integration plugin (free from WordPress.org).

Connect Dropbox to AFI

Dropbox uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → Dropbox, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LifterLMS to Dropbox.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LifterLMS as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select Dropbox as the destination

Choose Dropbox from the platform dropdown and pick Upload File. This uploads a file to Dropbox.

4. Map fields

Match each Dropbox field on the left to the corresponding LifterLMS field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LifterLMS. Check Dropbox to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.

Free vs Pro

The free version maps file content and filename to Dropbox with unlimited enrollments. Pro adds folder selection. No per-enrollment fees on any plan.

Frequently asked questions

Which LifterLMS events trigger the integration?

AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership. This covers new enrollments, course completions, and student registrations.

Will adding this slow down my site?

No. AFI sends data to the destination after the enrollment event completes. Your students are not affected.

Can I send enrollments to multiple platforms?

Yes. Create a separate integration for each destination, and every enrollment flows to all of them simultaneously.
