How to Send LifterLMS Enrollments to CiviCRM

CiviCRM is a CRM that helps you manage contacts and track interactions. Every LifterLMS enrollment should flow into CiviCRM automatically. This guide shows how to set that up in five minutes.

The direct approach

What you will need

• A WordPress site with LifterLMS installed and at least one course.

Connect CiviCRM to AFI

CiviCRM uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication. In AFI → Settings → CiviCRM, click Authorize and grant access. This is a one-time step.

Setting up the integration

1. Create a new integration

Go to AFI → Add New. Name it LifterLMS to CiviCRM.

2. Pick your trigger

Select LifterLMS as the form provider. AFI fires when a student enrolls in a course or purchases a membership, giving you access to student details, course information, and enrollment data.

3. Select CiviCRM as the destination

Choose CiviCRM from the platform dropdown and pick Add Contact. This creates a contact in CiviCRM.

4. Map fields

Match each CiviCRM field on the left to the corresponding LifterLMS field on the right. Common mappings include student name, email, course title, and enrollment date. You can also use smart tags like {{_submission_date}}.

5. Add conditions if needed

Only want to send certain enrollments? Set up a conditional rule based on any field value.

6. Save and test

Click Save Integration. Complete a test enrollment in LifterLMS. Check CiviCRM to confirm the data arrived. If anything looks wrong, open AFI → Log to see the exact request and response.
